Answer to Question 1

These activities include a wellness/nutrition component for school-age children in the early elementary years. These children must have physical activity on a daily basis, which should add up to the recommended 60 minutes per day, when possible. Elementary school children are to be engaged in daily physical education activities for 150 minutes per week. There should no longer be junk food allowed in schools in any form. There should be more choices of green and orange fruits and vegetables and focus will be on lower-fat protein and dairy products.

Answer to Question 2

Childhood obesity can cause pediatric hypertension and diabetes mellitus. It can also impair the immune system and the ability to fight off infection and disease. Sleep apnea, which is a disorder that causes children to awaken many times during the night and reduces the amount of time in deep sleep, can also be a result of being overweight. Children under the age of four can be at risk for having their cognitive development impaired. Stress on the weight-bearing joints is another physical problem that may result.

These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
