Some words have letter sounds that are more difficult to hear. Discuss briefly.

Answer to Question 1

Continuant sounds that are sustained, which include a, e, i, o, u, f, l, m, n, r, s, u, and z, are easier to hear and isolate. The articulated sounds in b, c, d, g, h, j, k, p, q, t, and x are more difficult.
