Answer to Question 1

d

Answer to Question 2

Different cultures approach learning differently. Some cultures approach learning, and educators, with a feeling close to reverence. Learning and knowledge is something that you accept humbly. A professor, teacher, parent, or some other wise elder from the community should be consulted if
you want to receive knowledge. The learner could not possibly be presumed to create knowledge. As we know, throughout history a great deal of knowledge has been passed down to younger generations by wise elder generations. Other cultures approach learning in a radically different way. Just because everyone always believed something was true doesn't convince them at all that it is really true. If they want to know something, they do research, hold a focus group, or put together a think tank. They believe that learning is something to construct. Developmentally appropriate practice teaches us that children really do have to learn how to construct knowledge or they will be left in the lurch as they grow up in this fast-moving technological world. We must, however, still recognize the cultural importance of revering wise elders and respecting community traditions.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
