ANSWER: Children would sample an array of foods and classify them as sweet, sour, hot, cold, salty, or bitter.

ANSWER: Many families eat their meals quickly and on the run; convenience foods are often bland, pre-cooked, and low in nutritional value; eating may occur just out of habit and/or routine; eating may be done in front of the television.
