Since most cruise line companies are incorporated overseas, this has enabled them to avoid many of the taxes levied on other U.S.-based firms.

As with hotel chains, consumers are attracted to restaurants that are branded because of the type of food served, the standards, and reputation that such entities have etched in consumer perceptions.
