Answer 1

New York City and Branson, Missouri, are both popular U.S. tourist attractions but appeal to different tastes. New York City attracts a domestic and foreign clientele due to its geographic position, easy transportation access, and vast offerings of popular monuments, museums, and shopping opportunities. Branson relies solely on domestic customers by automobile and motorcoaches to its more narrow country and music attractions mostly from nearby surrounding areas of the Midwest.

Answer 2

Thomas Cook was called a saint by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Cook was an imaginative innovator and was in the right place at the right time when railroads were invented. He organized group tours by rail early in 19th century England and built on this early success to set himself up as the first major tour operator. While pursuing his own self-interest, the indirect effect was to introduce affordable travel and tourism to the middle class. Until Cook's arrival on the scene, tourism had been the sole province of the wealthy.
