 Positive  with interventions put in place (timely, targeted/focused, addressing environmental and family factors), adolescent can follow the adolescent-limited trajectory that has fewer negative outcomes
 Negative  without appropriate interventions child continues lifetime pattern of behaviors that violate social norms; can lead to antisocial personality disorder, involvement with legal system, early pregnancy and substance use, suicide
