Question 1

Determine whether the sample sizes are large enough to conclude that the sampling distributions are approximately normal.

n1 = 48, n2 = 55,  1 = .4,  2 = .7

Question 2

Independent random samples, each containing 500 observations were selected from two binomial populations. The samples from populations 1 and 2 produced 210 and 320 successes, respectively. Test against Ha: (p1 - p2) < 0.  Use α = .05.
