Answer to Question 1

Token economies are one of the many applications of behavioral theory to treatment.
Token economies employ the principles of operant conditioning and are used to increase
the frequency of desirable behaviors. When a desired behavior occurs, some token is
given that may then be exchanged for something of value to the patient.

Answer to Question 2

Phobias can be learned by watching another person who has a phobia. Watching that
person behave with fear around the feared object or situation can cause distress in the
observer and lead to learning of the phobia.
