Clarence is wondering how best to prepare for his upcoming exam. He decides to use highlighting, rereading, and reviewing his notes as study techniques. He believes that if he studies for as many hours as possible prior to his exam, he will get an A on the exam. What does research tell us about Clarence's conclusion?
◦ Clarence will likely make an A on the exam using the study techniques he has planned.
◦ Clarence will be disappointed to know that research finds the total number of hours studying is only weakly related to exam scores.
◦ Clarence is using too many study strategies and needs to focus on one strategy.
◦ Clarence needs to incorporate the use of study groups in order to make an A on his exam.

This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
