You are treating a patient who is complaining of severe chest pain. You have received an order from medical direction that you feel would be detrimental to your patient because you reported his blood pressure as 88/52. How best would you handle this situation?
◦ Respectfully question the physician.
◦ Carry out the order but document that you disagreed.
◦ Contact your supervisor for advice.
◦ Call a different hospital for orders.
