Discuss some of the reasons for the high frequency of rape experienced by prostitutes.

Answer to Question 1

Prostitutes are often raped by their pimps. The question of consent is often difficult to judge, and people often don't believe that she was raped. There is a general disapproval of prostitution, and as a result prostitutes who report rape are treated with disdain.
