a . The first part of the more positive view of cognitive errors is that people evolved the ability to think to promote the ability to argue with and influence others.
b. The second prong of this view is that heuristics actually work quite well. Much of the time in the real world, we do not have access to full information required for purely logical processing. Heuristics and intuition help us make good decisions in these sorts of circumstances.
