Answer to Question 1

a

Answer to Question 2

The three predictors of deception are 1) microexpressions, 2) interchannel discrepancies, and 3) exaggerated facial expressions. Microexpressions are fleeting facial expressions lasting only a few tenths of a second. An example of a microexpression could be a scrunched nose, pursed lips, or a twitch in one's eye. Interchannel discrepancies are discrepancies between a person's facial expression and body language. For example, if one is smiling and nodding in agreement but one has shaking hands that are fidgeting with an object, then he or she is displaying an interchannel discrepancy. Finally, exaggerated facial expressions are facial expressions that are overstated or used more frequently than usual. For example, if a person is smiling more than usual, then that person is displaying an exaggerated facial expression.
