Answer: Opportunity structures facilitate STEM careers by providing high school students with internships and mentorships in local industry and college programs that may lead directly into a job or training program.

Answer: Successful schools tend to keep struggling students on a challenging academic track, and provide them with extra classroom support or tutoring, rather than placing them in a less challenging track because they are having trouble in certain classes.
