Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

According to Sidman (1960), designs with many participants do not allow for adequate replication of results, whereas single-case designs do. Second, group designs contribute to error variance in a study because using many people in a study increases error variance resulting from individual differences. Third, in group designs, we typically look at the mean performance within each group and then attempt to generalize the results to individuals. Psychologists thus draw conclusions about individual behavior based on studying the average performance of a group of people when Sidman believes it would be better to study individuals and then generalize to other individuals.
