Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Stetler's model encourages the use of research evidence by individual nurses and healthcare institutions to facilitate the development of EBP.
Unfortunately, there are no perfect research studies.
Promoting implementation of detailed, structured protocols based on single studies in practice is not the goal of Stetler's model.
Validating use of current practices and minimize change in practice discourages change.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
If an organization is resistant to change, new nursing interventions are not likely to be embraced.
Relevance to practice would be up to the clinicians to decide for their area.
Reliability and validity relate to the rigor and scientific merit of the study.
Scientific merit has to do with the advisability of implementing a new intervention.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
