1, Indicate that a racial divide exists on what role government should play in helping make American society more equal. Answers can address a specific issue, such as affirmative action, or facts about party affiliation or income disparity between the two groups.
2, Explain this divide using historical examples of inequality, such as segregation or slavery, that have led to differences in beliefs.
