Answer to Question 1

Answer: Any four of the following:
Is this provider accepting new patients?
What insurance plans does this office accept?
If a physician, is this doctor board-certified, meaning that he or she has undergone extra training after medical school to specialize in an area such as family practice?
How does the office handle lab work? Is there a lab in-house or nearby, or will you have to travel to a different location for a procedure such as a blood test?
Is this a group practice? If so, will you mostly see your provider or all the providers in the group?
Is this medical practice affiliated with any particular hospitals or specialty centers?
Does this practice offer newer methods of contacting your provider such as email?

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Rescission is the canceling of a person's insurance coverage because the person became sick. Under the 2010 reforms, this is not permitted.
