Answer to Question 1

C
Lateral neck x-ray findings of a patient with LTB can include the pencil point or steeple point sign indicating narrowing of the upper airway. Haziness in the subglottic area may also be seen. The thumb sign is an indication of a swollen epiglottis.

Answer to Question 2

A
If the pneumothorax is the result of an internal lung injury (in this case probably from the sharp edge of the broken rib), it is called a closed pneumothorax.
