Management steps to control forest disease include sanitation cuttings, salvage cuttings, use of disease-resistant
varieties, removing intermediate hosts for parasites, biological insect controls, and chemical treatments

The major disease-causing organisms in forests are fungi, nematodes, bacteria, viruses, and mistletoes.
 The most important of these are fungi
