What do sunspots, solar prominences, and solar flares all have in common?

As he approached the black hole, he would be stretched by tidal forces, his time would run slow, and light coming from him would be redshifted. The closer he got to the event horizon, the slower his time would appear to run. You would never see him cross the event horizon, but he would disappear from view when his light became redshifted out of the range of detection.
