CACFP guidelines state that snacks should include two items from the categories of
 
  a. fruits and vegetables.
 b. milk or meat/meat alternative.
  c. breads and grains.
 d. all of these.

In order to be safe, food should not be thawed

 b. at room temperature.
 c. in a waterproof plastic bag immersed in cold water.
