Answer to Question 1

The student should indicate that a transsexual is a person with the biological sex of one gender but has the gender identity of the opposite sex. A transsexual has sought out surgical intervention to correct what they perceive as the wrong biological sex. An example is Christine Jorgensen. A transgenderist is a person with the same gender identity distortion as the transsexual. They will live their life as the opposite sex but not seek medical corrections to their biological sex. An example is Billy Tipton.
