A transsexual has sought out surgical intervention to correct what they perceive as the wrong biological sex. An example is Christine Jorgensen. A transgenderist is a person with the same gender identity distortion as the transsexual. They will live their life as the opposite sex but not seek medical corrections to their biological sex.
