The student's discussion should indicate that researchers have focused on one aspectintimacy, which has been identified as consisting of the presence of love and affection, the knowledge that someone loves and approves of us, being secure in the belief that one can disclose personal secrets, and willingness to reveal one's self. Researchers also found differences between men and women concerning intimacy. More investigation is required.
