Answer to Question 1

Answer: A

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER:
Workers handling radioactive materials must use shielding (gloves, aprons, face shields), maximize distance to source, and limit time of exposure. Containers should also be held using tongs or tweezers to maximize distance of source to worker. Finger dosimeters should be worn to monitor exposure. All materials must be stored separately from food and drink and in a separate locked room. Care should be taken to prevent exposure through cuts, including from glassware, and from patients excreting radioactive materials. Workers must also prevent contamination of the patient environment from radioactive materials.

Pink eye is a term that refers to conjunctivitis, which is inflammation of the thin, clear membrane (conjunctiva) over the white part of the eye (sclera). Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. It most often affects middle-aged and elderly individuals, spreading to surrounding tissue in the lungs. The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.
