Answer to Question 1

Answer: C

Employment opportunities, licensure requirements, and salary levels are not associated with adopting the attitudes and behaviors of professional nursing. One of the most powerful mechanisms of professional socialization is interaction with fellow students.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: B

The nurse offers support to the client by offering to listen if the client wants to talk about the episode. Telling the client that the nurse can't believe the behavior is not effective communication at this point. Threatening the client with medication is not allowed. The psychiatric client may not be aware enough to realize the impact of behavior on the other clients.
