Answer to Question 1

B
1+ ketones in the urine is an indication of the possible development of gestational diabetes. Trace glucose in the urine may be an issue but not the highest priority. FHT 155 is within the normal range of 120 to 160 for the fetal heart rate. Also, maternal pulse 90 is within the normal range of 60 to 100 heart rate for an adult.

Answer to Question 2

C
Rechecking the blood glucose level in 30 minutes allows for evaluation of the effects of the glucose water feeding. Applying a pulse oximeter or keeping the infant under the warmer are not relative to administering glucose water by mouth. Transferring the infant to the NICU is not an appropriate action, because we don't know how effective the glucose feeding has been.
