Answer to Question 1

A
The infant's output is a reflection of the intake and eight to ten wet diapers a day reflects adequate intake. Breastfed infants usually eat eight to twelve times a day for the first 3 to 4 weeks. Most breastfed infants stool with every void or every other void. If an infant is sleeping soundly through the night, the infant is not getting adequate nutrition.

Answer to Question 2

A
Through nurse practice acts, statutory laws define what constitutes the scope and practice of nursing and determine educational credentials and titling for registered nurses. Case law, sometimes referred to as common law, is derived from judicial decisions on specific cases.
