Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Products that have a relative advantage compared to other offerings will diffuse quickly. For example, if a new drug were released that could cure AIDS the relative advantage would be large the drug would diffuse quickly. Compatibility with the needs of consumers also accelerates diffusion. The ability to observe the product also helps to accelerate diffusion. For this reason trials and test drives should be used when possible. New products tend to be introduced in lead countries since these consumers are most likely to purchase the product in the early stages. The diffusion curve is then faster for lag countries because consumers in lag countries have had a chance to observe the product's performance and popularity in the lead country.
