Answer to Question 1

D
Product-country stereotypes are closely related to country-of-origin information. The text lists several of these positive stereotypes such as Colombian coffee, Swiss chocolate, Russian caviar, Israeli oranges and Iranian pistachios. Marketers take advantage of these positive stereotypes. For example Haagen Dazs is an American product with a German sounding name. Similarly there are several American vodkas with Russian sounding names in an attempt to evoke a positive stereotype.
