This specialization enabled the production of more surplus goods, which further encouraged trade. The outcome was an unequal distribution of goods, and eventually, social inequality.

Unlike a major political power with a powerful military, the forces opposing the U.S. and its coalition in Iraq lack the means to confront these forces head on. By doing so, public opinion will turn against the U.S. forces, both by the Iraqis who support them and by the Americans at home who are becoming tired of the war. Terrorists do not wear uniforms. No specific government that may be funding terrorism can be identified, making retaliation exceptionally risky, if not illegal and reckless.
