Answer to Question 1

Self-efficacy is a persons belief in his or her own capacity to perform a task. It involves beliefs about ones competence and is a predictor of peoples work behavior. Self-esteem is the extent to which people hold positive or negative views about themselves. It is related to feelings of self-worth. People with low self-esteem tend to be less successful in work-related activities. An organization can boost and maintain the self-esteem of its employees by making people feel valuable, competent, more secure, and empowered.
