Researchers have identified five personality traits that are especially relevant to organizations. The Big Five traits include agreeableness, or a person's ability to get along with others; conscientiousness, or the order and precision an individual imposes on activities; emotional stability, which causes some individuals to be calm, poised, resilient, and secure; extroversion, a person's comfort level with relationships; and openness, or an individual's rigidity of beliefs and range of interest.
