Answer to Question 1

Many well-managed contemporary organizations use goal setting. This is a system in which employees jointly determine specific performance objectives with their supervisors, progress toward objectives is periodically reviewed, and rewards are allocated on the basis of this progress. Rather than using goals to control, goal setting uses goals to motivate people.
