Physical processing involves physically apparent properties like the shapes of letters.
Phonological processing involves the sound combinations associated with the letters, such as the sound of the word TABLE.
Semantic processing involves meaning, such as the meaning of the word TABLE.

Procedural memory is memory for processes. Many of the activities that we do every day fall under the purview of procedural memory; these can range from brushing your teeth to writing. Declarative, or explicit memory, is memory for facts that can be stated.
