There are a number of important infrastructure considerations that can impact the success of an ERP project. The infrastructure platform issues include the Internet and network connectivity, system bandwidth, security, transaction volume, user load, and backup and recovery. Servers and database capacity must be planned with system expansion in mind. Network connectivity and bandwidth must also be planned and tested for high volume transactions. Organizations may also create a standard PC configuration to limit the security problems.
