Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports that the U.S. expenditure for health care was 2.9 trillion in year 2013. Medicare and Medicaid totaled just over 1 trillion and costs are projected to increase as more people become eligible for Medicare. This will cause an increase to the tax subsidies for the new healthcare exchanges. Having community health centers and the use of nurse practitioners promotes access to health care. Research for evidence-based practice does not present a barrier for access to health care.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 2

The source encoder is the sender of the message or the person who wants to transmit a message to another. The context of the message is a portion of the message sent. The receiver of the message is the message decoder. The channel is the method selected to convey the message.
