The faith community nurse who makes arrangements for Meals on Wheels for the homebound is functioning as a coordinator. The faith community nurse who encourages participation in political activities that impact the health and wellbeing of the faith community is functioning as an advo-cate. As a counselor, the faith community nurse discusses health problems and recommends in-terventions as necessary. As an integrator of faith and health, the faith community nurse assists others to improve spiritual and physical health.

The Health Cabinet assists with evaluating assets and areas of need in order to plan services that will attain outcomes congruent with goals established by the congregation and faith communities served.
