1, Explain the positive aspects of shield laws including that they allow reporters to protect the identity of their sources, which makes it more likely that a reporter would be able to source a story and would also prevent a reporter from having to serve time in jail to protect a source.
2, Explain a negative aspect of shield laws, such as that it may give legal cover to individuals who compromised an aspect of national security or broke a federal law, by allowing a reporter to avoid naming them in a legal case.

An ideal response will:
1, Explain how voter turnout varies by demographic groups in the United States.
2, Explain how politicians want to maximize the turnout of voters who are likely to vote for them.
3, Discuss what a GOTV campaign would look like, specifically discussing how a candidate could draw upon data mining to identify demographic categories that are likely to support him or her, and then how the campaign could use mobilization efforts, such as phone banking, to get people to turn out on Election Day.
4, Provide a clear and effective conclusion.
