Answer to Question 2
Research has found a correlation between the ability to use imagery and the ability to be hypnotized. Although imagery shares some similarities with hypnosis, it differs in several important ways. Imagery is not characterized by a lessening of the person's own will, nor does it emphasize responding to a hypnotist's suggestions. Imagery does not attempt to access unconscious materials; rather imagery is vividly remembered.
