Save your canceled checks and bank statements. If they are online, save them as a PDF and print them out. You should keep three to seven years' worth of bank statements in your records for tax purposes.

Answer to Question 2

Unless you are doing completely mechanical (physical) actions, multitasking destroys the quality of attention given to the tasks at hand because the brain performs even simple actions in a strict linear sequence.
