Answer: More developed countries enjoy a lifestyle that consumes more resources and generates more waste than that enjoyed by less-developed countries. Thus, a wealthy nation's per person carrying capacity is higher than is that of a less-developed nation.

Answer: The AQI, or Air Quality Index, measures air quality according to a list of federal air criteria. It matters because it warns of potentially dangerous levels of air pollution.
