A clinic encourages Medicare patients to have tests that are not covered by Medicare. They always have the patient sign an Advance Beneficiary Notice. How do you feel about this policy?

Such a policy, though not illegal, is certainly unethical.

Answer to Question 2

Discuss the information with the patient to find out if it seems accurate while also suggesting some reliable sources of online information.
