-distinguish experts from uninformed people, theory from dogma, data from myth, empirical evidence from propaganda, facts from fiction, and knowledge from opinion. -understand that the research process is cumulative, tentative, and skeptical. -analyze and process data, and be aware that problems often have more than one accepted answer and that many issues are multidisciplinary with political, judicial,
ethical, and moral dimensions.
