Type I enrichment involves invitations to more advanced levels of involvement in a topic, and is designed to interest students in pursuing a topic further.
Type II enrichment consists of activities designed to develop higher level thinking skills, as well as research skills, reference-using skills, and personal and social skills.
Type III enrichment involves individual and small-group investigations of real problems drawing on what the students have learned.
