Answer to Question 1

The armed rebellions along the peripheral parts of Myanmar utilized their autonomy and good growing condition for poppies to become the center of opium growing and the subsequent heroin production. Despite government success at times, the ethnic movements have turned to synthetic drugs and currently an opium revival.
