Answer: Any one of the following:
(i) strong anticyclones are associated with outbreaks of cA and cP air masses in winter that can bring damaging and deadly low temperatures.
(ii) persistent anticyclones often lead to drought.
(iii) anticyclones situated over the Rockies can bring Santa Ana winds to the west coast.
