Answer to Question 1

Answer: The volcano will inflate and rise as the magma moves into the magma chamber. As more magma fills the chamber, the rocks around the chamber fracture from the swelling.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Composite cone volcanoes are considered the most dangerous volcanoes because of the violence of their eruptions and the numerous hazards they can generate. The lava associated with them tends to be andesitic or rhyolitic, which is stickier and results in pyroclastic eruptions. Pyroclastic flows can result in damage and death. Ash fall can result in damage and disrupted travel. Lahars can be problematic both during the eruption and long after the eruption is over, causing destruction and damage over long distances away from the volcano.
